Abstrak :
This research is entitled The Analysis Japanese Folk Beliefs on Natsume Yuujinchou Anime. This research was intended to describe Japanese folk beliefs on Natsume Yuujinchou anime by using structruralism theory and evolution of religious theory. The data that used were the dialogue which was supported by scene screenshoot on Natsume Yuujinchou anime. The data collecting technique was the scrutinizing technique and note taking technique. The data validity was gathered by triangulation technique. The technique of data analysis was descriptive analysis technique by analyzing Japanese folk beliefs and followed by the description. The analysis was done with 20 data which was in form of dialogue and screenshoot. The results of this research show that Natsume Yuujinchou appeared 5 phenomena Japanese folk beliefs, believe in Gods, believe in a dead thing to be alive, believe in vengeance, believe in good and bad of spirits, and believe in souls and spirits. It can be conclude that concept of Japanese folk beliefs on Natsume Yuujinchou is concept of supernatural world, concept of souls and spirits, and concept of vengeance.
