Abstrak :
This report is entitled “Guiding Technique in Delivering Information of Borobudur Temple in English as Tourism Object in Magelang”. The writer had finished this job training within four weeks. It started from 8th February until 5th March 2016. There are some methods which are used by the writer to get the data, such as observation method, interview method, and literature review to support the writer in collecting data. The purposes of this job training are to understand more about the guiding technique, the obstacle of guiding, and the way to overcome the problem.
During the process of this job training, there are two guiding techniques that are used by the tour guide to deliver the information about Borobudur Temple. Those are preparation technique and guiding process technique. The writer finds out some obstacles which are faced by the tour guide, such as the understanding of material that is not similiar among tour guides, the difficulties in delivering information for different ages, and the differences of tourist character.
Those obstacles above can be solved by reading some references and exchanging information among tour guides, combining the way in delivering information between adult and kids tourists, and studying about Cross Cultural Understanding and identifying every tourist character.
