Abstrak :
Business actors have a responsibility in carrying out their business related
to the fulfillment of the rights of consumers. As in this case, H.Hudiono as a
consumer has sued pt. Rezki Curah Prima in BPSK Palembang. This business actor
filed an objection to the Palembang District Court over the BPSK Decision in
Palembang. The purpose of this study is to find out how the responsibility of
business actors to consumers due to defaults in apartment buying and selling
agreements based on Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection.
This research uses normative juridical approach methods with analytical
descriptive research specifications. The data source used is secondary data. The
method of data collection is carried out by literature studies, the data obtained is
presented with narrative text, and the data analysis method used is a qualitative
normative method.
Based on the results of research and discussions that have been carried out,
it can be concluded that PT Rizki Curah Prima as a business actor violated Law No.
8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and defaulted because he could not carry
out his responsibilities as a business actor, so he must be responsible for his actions.
The Panel of Judges of the Palembang District Court rejected all objectionsfrom
business actors and upheld the Decision of bpsk palembang city Number 57 /BPSK
/ PTS / XI / 2921, dated November 30, 2021.
