Abstrak :
In the middle of modernization, radio, one of mass media type that has an audible characteristic, still has an important role among of society in order to fulfill people’s necessity for the actual and fast information. Radio Republic of Indonesia in Purwokerto has become a public media which still keeps its existence as a public media that delivers up to date news in Banyumas district. In preserving its existence in the society, RRI Purwokerto provides kinds of programs that can attract people attention to listen to it, especially in providing modern and international program such an English program which is called English Corner. Those facts make the writer interested in writing a job training report concerning to the production of English Corner in RRI Purwokerto. This job training report is entitled “English Corner Program in Radio Republic Indonesia of Purwokerto” has the purposes to know about what English Corner is, how the production process is, the obstacles and also the solution in solving those obstacles during producing the program. This job training was held on 18 January to 18 February 2016 in RRI Purwokerto at Jalan Jenderal Soedirman number 427 Purwokerto. To get the data, the writer used observation method especially in observing its production during 4 weeks. Then, interview method used in knowing about the preparation process of that program. Last, literature and documentation method used as the additional method for writer in writing the final report. According to the observation, the writer knew that English Corner involves into 42 programs in PRO-2 RRI Purwokerto since 2005 which associates into educational format that uses interactive dialogue type. Today, this program is organized by the cooperation between PRO-2 and EFEC UNSOED. English Corner has 3 production steps. They are preparation, production and evaluation step. In preparation step, Public Relation Department EFEC will prepare the script, the speakers and also the announcers. Then, English corner is categorized as live broadcast that has 60 minutes for its production. The announcer will deliver the material by using daily English. Last, the evaluation will be done every month accordingly to general evaluation of EFEC. Certainly, all parties who are involved in producing this program will get some obstacles, especially for Public Relation Department EFEC. They get the obstacles, especially in choosing the motion, looking for the speakers, except organizers and members of EFEC and the consistency of the announcer. Then, to attract people attention to listen this program is still improved in order to keep its existence.
