Abstrak :
The Daily Reservoir(Kolam Tando Harian = KTH) is located in Muntu, Melung Village, KedungBanteng, Banyumas, Central Java, it gets water supply from the river of Sorobadag and the river of Banjaran. Daily Reservoir is a source of water to turn on the turbines of hydroelectric power in Ketenger and work as a sediment control. In the early establishment, Hydropower in Ketenger is used to generate electric power of 8.5 MegaWatts (MW). The generated electric power is able to increase the supply load of demand for the electric power in Java-Bali (PembangkitanJawa Bali). Because of population growth and human activities, many changes of the use of land maintenance in the watershed of Banjaran and Sorobadag. The impact of those changes occurred at the Daily Reservoir Muntu which resulted in the big difference inflow discharge in the rainy season and the dry season, which furthermore, the outflow discharge issued for hydropower vary and lead to the reduction of electrical power produced by hydroelectric in Ketenger. The largest decrease of hydroelectric power in Ketengerreach up to 82% from 8.5 MW to 1.5 MW with only two turbines and generators are working in the dry season. To this, there should be a study on how to optimizethe Daily ReservoirinMuntu for the hydroelectric power.
In this study, it is conducted analysis dependable for hydropower discharge by using three methods, namely, dependable discharge based on annual discharge, dependable discharge based on monthly discharge, and dependable discharge based on calculations using formulas of electrical power. Then it was performed an analysis of using tables of water balance or water balance where the amount of entering waterwere reduced by the amount of water which is coming out of the system must be resulted the same as that stored in the storage system.
The output of this calculation is the electric power generated in Ketenger hydropower, as well as the tables and graphs comparison between the powers after optimizing with the current hydroelectric power. From the analysis and calculationabove shows that the generated power increases more than 5,791.563 kW of power compared to current time, which the dependable discharge reach into 83.33% based on the total annual discharge 6,458.886 kW, with 83.33% dependable discharge based on monthly discharge for 7,144.2 kW, and the dependable discharge based on calculations using the formulas of 7,144.2 kW of electrical power.
